What is the Kedusha Challenge?

Let’s face it - smartphones are addictive. Without awareness and practical tools, even the most motivated people find themselves stuck in a cycle of constant distraction and wasted time.

That’s where the Kedusha Challenge comes in.

The 30-Day Kedusha Challenge is a highly engaging, community-based program that empowers rabbeim and community leaders to help their communities break free from endless phone use. Each day, participants receive a simple, actionable challenge designed to build self-control, sharpen awareness of personal tech habits, and gradually loosen the grip of phone addiction.

The power of the Kedusha Challenge lies in its consistency and its communal framework, small daily steps, taken together, create real and lasting change.

By the end of 30 days, you and the members of your community will develop a healthier, more intentional relationship with technology, along with greater focus, confidence, and a stronger sense of kedusha that carries into everyday life.

Testimonials
I so appreciated the Elul Connection challenge. I learned a lot about different ways of approaching my daily life when it comes to cellphone use. I’m no longer on social media of any kind ( this has been the case for a year or so) but the daily challenges made me so much more aware of how much I was still on my phone. Thank you for creating this project.
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciate you establishing the Elul challenge. The lessons are short enough to commit to reading every day... I'm now making a real effort to say Al Hamichiya right after dinner and not stopping to check my phone for messages etc in between. I also put my phone on airplane mode before saying Tehillim.
I’ve had white and black mode on for a couple hours now and I’ve never understood how much the colors on your phone make a difference to your usage - it’s INSANE! IyH I’ll be continuing to keep my phone and black and white mode because of this program💪
This challenge was absolutely incredible! I loved it bec not only did we realize how much we depend and use our phones but we all did it together which was honestly super fun! - 12th Grade Bachur
I truly appreciate these technology challenges. They were small enough, easy enough and sometimes even fun! And that made it very doable. It really helped me stop and think before wasting time on technology, which is a BIG thing, because as a teacher and a mother, time is so precious. It made me realize that although I can't fully get rid of technology, I don't have to let it control me. What a gift to myself and my children. It's the little things that lead to big things, and I got so many little things from these challenges. Thank you!
Thank you so much for creating this connection challenge. It has helped me so much, in reducing my screen time and focusing on what really matters. I can now see how attached I was to my devices. Even through the pain of withdrawal I knew it was the correct thing to do, and with Hashem's help, I am proud to say that I have significantly reduced the apps on my phone to focus on only those that I really need in my day to day life. I look forward to see what other challenges that Hashem has for me in the future.
This challenge has helped me grow in many ways. I have strongly disliked my phone and technology in general. I’ve always thought that it’s distracting and I knew I was one of the victims of being pulled by the ways of my yetzer Hara. But I never did anything about it. Then last year my brother showed me that I could grow and push myself. So I decided it was time to change. I started connecting to Tefila and mitzvot and learning. I slowly saw my growth. I connected with Hashem deeper then ever. He inspired me. Now a year later, this challenge came along, reminding me of one of my main goals that had started it all. It was Hashem reminding me that I can keep on growing and pushing myself. So throughout this challenge I pushed myself. I deleted unnecessary apps, and my screen time went down to an hour and I learned when I had free time. Everything I wanted was attainable and it felt that way, and it still does. From this challenge, I will be BEH’ getting a flip phone because why waste unnecessary time scrolling when I could be learning? That’s what the challenge did for me. It will continue to inspire me in the future IYH.
